Mission in Service of CLT Inc. was formed to provide service to communities in need, while giving volunteers an opportunity to utilize or discover their passion by sharing their gifts and talents.

After working 30 years for one of the largest nonprofits and mission driven organization in the world, the visionary and founder, learned that by helping others resulted in a life that was satisfying and fulfilled all because of being of service to those in need.

While on a mission trip in East Africa, she discovered that the opportunity to connect with the African people, through building houses, dancing, and eating good food, brought her a great joy she had never experienced while working. Upon returning to the U.S.A, it was clear that her passion for service had expanded for thousands of miles with no borders. Being a social worker for 30 years and having had personal challenges to overcome contribute greatly to a compassionate visionary. The matters that impact her the most are generational poverty, and those suffering from mental illness in our community. Through her own work and travels to Africa a lesson learned was no matter your experiences in life, being of service to others is a sure pathway toward happiness and purpose that cannot be explained.

The founder is also a licensed mental health clinician and fitness coach. “It is my belief that by finding your happy place on the planet (Africa for me) taking care of your spiritual, mental and physical well- being, incorporated with acts of loving service, is the key to a life well lived”.

With that revelation in mind Mission in Service of CLT, Inc. was formed. It is about reaffirming with others, that by sharing your gifts and talents while living your best life you will live with purpose.

Mission in Service of CLT works with individuals and groups to coordinate volunteer opportunities including memorable African tours combined with a service project. The organization provides coordination for existing volunteer projects and has the capacity to customize activities based on the request of the group’s seeking service.

The other service provided by Mission in Service is mental health counseling and physical fitness. Mission in Services offers mental health professionals an opportunity to give back while helping our community to be healthier. It also has a space for fitness experts that are interested in sharing their talents with those that are interested.

Individuals in need of mental health counseling are able to sign up for pro bono or sliding fee services through Mission in Service. These services will be offered based on availability. A schedule for local and virtual fitness activities can be accessed periodically.
